Evgeny Beleninov was born in Moscow on the 13th of October 1985. At the age of eight he got his first tape from his mother. It was „Rubber Soul“ by The Beatles and it had a huge impact on his life ever since. Already after listening to their music for the first time Evgeny knew what he wanted to become: a musician. Even though this was a little more challenging than he expected when he was eight years old, he pursued his way to his dream.
His guitar teacher Xenia Gitman opened the door and showed him the world of the classical guitar, which led to Evgeny studying exactly that at the conservatory.
From 2003 to 2004 he went to the A. Schnittke College in Moscow and from the year 2005 he studied at the Hochschule für Musik „Hanns Eisler“ in Berlin, where he successfully (cum laude) finished his Master of Music in 2012 with Prof. Eugenia Kanthou. At the same time he also finished his degree (cum laude) at the International Guitar Academy with Hubert Käppel.
Evgeny has won prizes at „Guitar Competition Nürtingen“, the „International Guitar Festival Gevelsberg“ and held a scholarship from „Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now“.
Furthermore he plays a lot of solo and chamber music concerts in Germany and abroad.
Evgeny lives in Berlin and his first solo recording „Paris Buenos Aires“ is the attempt do put a certain feeling of life into music.
